FAQ

How do I cancel my subscription?

iOS: Open Settings → tap your name → Subscriptions → ScreenDeath → Cancel.

Android: Open Google Play → Menu → Subscriptions → ScreenDeath → Cancel.

How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Go to Settings (gear icon on home screen) → tap your Plan → Restore purchase. Your subscription or lifetime purchase is tied to your Apple ID or Google account and will sync automatically.
I'm locked out of an app I need right now

Use the emergency unlock: open ScreenDeath → tap "emergency unlock" at the bottom of the block screen → wait 30 seconds → all blocks are removed.

If the app is not responding, you can also revoke Screen Time permissions in your device settings, which will disable all blocks immediately.

Does ScreenDeath work without internet?
Yes. Everything runs on-device. Blocking, schedules, and the emergency unlock all work offline. An internet connection is only needed for initial purchase and subscription verification.
Which apps can I block?

iOS: Any app or app category via Apple's built-in picker. Phone, Messages, and Clock are always allowed and cannot be blocked.

Android: Any installed app. Phone, Messages, and Clock are on the default allowlist.

Can I block websites?
Not currently. ScreenDeath focuses on app blocking. Website blocking may be added in a future update.
What's the difference between free and Pro?

Free: Block 1 app at a time, on-demand sessions only, default allowlist, today's screen time on home screen.

Pro: Block unlimited apps, scheduled blocks (up to 20), customizable allowlist, full stats (7/30-day history, streaks, focus sessions).

Can I get a refund?
Refunds are handled by Apple or Google, not by us directly. You can request a refund through reportaproblem.apple.com (iOS) or through Google Play's refund process (Android).
Is my data sent to the cloud?
No. All your data — block history, schedules, stats — stays on your device. We don't have servers that store your data. See our privacy policy for details.
